MIRACLE OF NANDI IN SIVAN SANNIDHI

G_T9_54

Sri Siva Vanatheeswarar sannidhi is situated beneath the Sthala Vriksham (naturally grown Vembhu and Arasa Maram)of the Vanagaram temple for the last 9 years. Abishekam is performed twice a month for Vanatheeswarar on 2 Pradosham days. Large number of devotees participate and receive the Lord’s blessings on these days.

On the last Pradosham day, Monday 27th June 2011, when the abishekam was being performed for Lord Siva and Nandhi, we could notice  a MIRACLE. Both ears of the Nandhi had grown longer and sharper. We were happy to observe that the ears, which were 4 cm earlier are now 4.8 cm. Devotees believe that the Lord’s grace, proximity to the Peepul tree and the Neem tree’s shade have all contributed to this growth of Nandhikeswarar.

In this context, the growth of two ears of Nandhikeswarar implies the power of Lord Siva Vanatheeswarar is increasing. Nandhi is the divine mount (Vahanam) of Lord Siva.
